From Model Ts to today
Our home, our garage and the land they sit on have been in the same family since the early 1800s. The building you pull up to has housed Model Ts, turned out the village's doughnuts and, since 1989, kept the Adirondacks on the road.

A Model T garage
The building starts out as the family's own garage, a place to keep Ford Model Ts out of the Adirondack weather.

The Village Bake Shop
The garage is expanded and converted into the Village Bake Shop, known around town for its doughnuts and baked goods. Joyce and René Lafond, Terry's parents, own and run it. The "Village" name starts here.

The building is expanded again and becomes a garage once more, this time a working repair shop. Art and Terry Miclette buy the property from Joyce and René and open Village Auto.

Today
Still family, still here
Art Miclette and his son, Brian Miclette, own and run the shop today. Brian holds an applied science degree in automotive technology from SUNY Canton, so the newest vehicles get the same care as the old ones. People come back because the work is consistent, the advice is straight and you get treated like a neighbor, because you are one.
